What services do you offer?
Our Notary can perform both Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths services. The type of service you require depends on the document and its intended use. If you are unsure, carefully review your documents for instruction, but generally speaking a sworn document to be used outside of Alberta must be notarized.
Please note that our standard service does not include preparing any documents, or legal advice. Our notary is a qualified lawyer and if you require these services including Powers of Attorney, Wills, Real Estate transactions or general legal advice, please contact us and we can discuss how to approach that.
How much will it cost?
The cost of service depends on how many times the Notary/Commissioner must sign and seal your documents. Please note that second copies of the same document are counted seperately.
First Document/Signature: $40 + GST
Additonal Documents/Signatures: $15 + GST
Mobile Service: $50 + GST
Personal Guarantees: $80 + GST
What are your hours of operation?
Our service is by appointment only. We are available on weekdays between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. and between 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Again, this is by appointment only but we will make every effort to accomodate your schedule and special needs.
Unfortunately, our service is generally not available during normal business hours. This is because our notary is a practicing lawyer and his work schedule makes offering this service difficult during the day. We find that this service is valued by our clients as being available without requiring them to take time away from work, so we are happy to meet with you in the hours listed.
What should I bring with me to my Notary appointment?
Please bring your documents completed, but not signed. In addition you will require two pieces of government issued ID (at least one must include your photo). A passport, driver's licence, permanent resident card or armed forces ID combined with a healthcare card, social insurance card, or a major credit card are examples of what we will accept.
